Locations

The Köppern Group presents itself as a modern German group of companies that is a leader in high-pressure roller press technology for various processes in the metallurgy, fertilizer, ore, and cement industries.

In order to serve these geographically dispersed industries, we have an international network of regional offices. This means that our customers can rely on the best possible support, regardless of where they are located.

Our global activities are concentrated at our headquarters in Hattingen, on the southern edge of the Ruhr region. This is also where our production facilities are located.

A pilot plant and certain R&D services are located at Köppern Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Freiberg near Dresden.

KMA (Köppern Machinery Australia) offers roller presses for high-pressure comminution, but also for the agglomeration of various materials. It operates a pilot plant for comminution in Perth, Western Australia, which can also be used for larger test series.

EURAGGLO SAS was founded in 1992 and has been part of the Köppern Group since 2018.

The company is located in Quiévrechain, France, on the Belgian border. EURAGGLO distributes K.R. Komarek machines in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia and specializes in briquetting and compacting granulation plants with small to medium throughputs.

The pilot plant installed in Quiévrechain is equipped with a wide range of briquetting and compaction presses.

EURAGGLO offers services for roller presses of all types and manufacturers, and conducts optimization studies to improve the operation and maintenance of existing briquetting and granulating plants.

KMS (Koppern Maco Services) is a joint venture between Köppern and Maco Corporation and is based in Kolkata. KMS is responsible for the sales and delivery of briquetting machines as well as customer support for all Köppern products. In addition to its own production and assembly of small Köppern briquetting presses, KMS also produces briquetting segments for a wide range of feed materials using the ECM process. Furthermore, it provides services ranging from individual machines to complete plants.

KMS is an affiliated member of the International Chromium Development Association (ICDA) and the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI).

KSC (Koeppern Service Canada) supplies the Canadian potash industry with spare parts and a wide range of services. In cooperation with Applied, it ensures rapid availability of spare parts for the local market.

The name K.R.Komarek has been associated with the design and manufacture of briquetting, compacting, and granulating machines for three generations.

Komarek has been part of the Köppern Group since 2018. However, the Komarek brand will remain in place as it perfectly complements the Köppern portfolio. Komarek has now expanded its product range to include high-pressure grinding machines and also operates an industrial-scale pilot plant.

MKV (Maquinarias Koeppern Venezuela) is responsible for sales and support for all Köppern customers in Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago. The main focus is on the use of roller presses for the production of hot briquetted iron (HBI) from iron sponge (DRI). MKV serves as a service center for these machines and provides on-site maintenance personnel for the producers. In addition, it operates machines for the production and reconditioning of segments for the roller surfaces of briquetting machines.
